¹⁷ The clouds poured out water;
    the skies ^(A)gave forth thunder;
    your ^(B)arrows flashed on every side.
^18 (C)The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
    ^(D)your lightnings lighted up the world;
    the earth ^(E)trembled and shook.
¹⁹ Your ^(F)way was through the sea,
    your path through the great waters;
    yet your footprints ^(G)were unseen.^[a]
20 You ^(H)led your people like a flock
    by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
