³ “^[a](A)Blessed are the poor in spirit, for ^(B)theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

²² But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to ^(A)the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘^[a]You good-for-nothing,’ shall be answerable to ^[b](B)the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the ^[c](C)fiery hell.

⁹ And ^(A)if your eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be thrown into the ^[a](B)fiery hell.

The Judgment

³¹ “But when ^(A)the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then ^(B)He will sit on His glorious throne. ³² And all the nations will be ^(C)gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, ^(D)just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; ³³ and He will put the sheep ^(E)on His right, but the goats ^(F)on the left.

³⁴ “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, ^(G)inherit the kingdom prepared for you ^(H)from the foundation of the world.

⁴² “^(A)Whoever causes one of these ^[a]little ones who believe in Me to ^[b]sin, it is better for him if a heavy millstone is hung around his neck and he ^[c]is thrown into the sea. ⁴³ And ^(B)if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed, than, having your two hands, to go into ^[d](C)hell, into the ^(D)unquenchable fire.^{[e] 45} And if your foot is causing you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life without a foot, than, having your two feet, to be thrown into ^[f](E)hell.^{[g] 47} And ^(F)if your eye is causing you to sin, throw it away; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be thrown into ^[h](G)hell, ^48 (H)where their worm does not die, and ^(I)the fire is not extinguished. ⁴⁹ For everyone will be salted with fire.

⁵ But I will warn you whom to fear: ^(A)fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into ^[a](B)hell; yes, I tell you, fear ^[b]Him!

^18 (A)The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of ^(B)the only Son of God.

²³ to the general assembly and ^(A)church of the firstborn who ^(B)are enrolled in heaven, and to God, ^(C)the Judge of all, and to the ^(D)spirits of the righteous made perfect,
