Seeing the Invisible

¹⁶ Therefore we ^(A)do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is ^(B)being renewed day by day. ¹⁷ For ^(C)our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, ^18 (D)while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

³ But even if our gospel is veiled, ^(A)it is veiled to those who are perishing, ⁴ whose minds ^(B)the god of this age ^(C)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(D)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(E)who is the image of God, should shine on them. ^5 (F)For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ^(G)ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.

Comfort in Suffering

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, ⁴ who ^(B)comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any ^[a]trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
