⁵ For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on ^(A)the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, ^(B)the things of the Spirit. ^6 (C)For the mind ^[a]set on the flesh is ^(D)death, but the mind ^[b]set on the Spirit is life and peace, ⁷ because the mind ^[c]set on the flesh is ^(E)hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, ⁸ and those who are ^(F)in the flesh cannot please God.

¹³ for ^(A)if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are ^(B)putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. ¹⁴ For all who are ^(C)being led by the Spirit of God, these are ^(D)sons and daughters of God.
