⁴ And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.’

²⁶ ‘The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.’

⁴ But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.’

²⁰ for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

⁵ From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits^[a] of God.

¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

¹⁰ Then he told me, ‘Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near.
