15 His feet were like fine bronze as it is fired in a furnace, and His voice like the sound of cascading[a] waters.(A) 16 He had seven stars in His right hand; a sharp double-edged sword came from His mouth,(B) and His face was shining like the sun at midday.[b]
17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. He laid His right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last,(C)

15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace,(A) and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.(B) 16 In his right hand he held seven stars,(C) and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword.(D) His face was like the sun(E) shining in all its brilliance.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet(F) as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me(G) and said: “Do not be afraid.(H) I am the First and the Last.(I)
