³ Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy,^(A) and blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep^[a] what is written in it, because the time is near.

¹³ Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”^(A)

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “so they will rest from their labors, since their works follow them.”

⁹ Then he^[a] said to me,^(A) “Write: Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast^(B) of the Lamb!” He also said to me, “These words of God are true.”^(C)

⁶ Blessed^(A) and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! The second death^(B) has no power^[a] over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.^(C)

¹⁴ “Blessed ^(A) are those who wash their robes,^[a] so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.
