6 These (A)have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

7 When they (B)finish their testimony, (C)the beast that ascends (D)out of the bottomless pit (E)will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of (F)the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, (G)where also [a]our Lord was crucified.

6 They have power to shut up the heavens(A) so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying;(B) and they have power to turn the waters into blood(C) and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast(D) that comes up from the Abyss(E) will attack them,(F) and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city(G)—which is figuratively called Sodom(H) and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.(I)
