The Red Dragon, Satan
3 Then (A)another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red (B)dragon having (C)seven heads and (D)ten horns, and on his heads were (E)seven diadems. 4 And his tail *swept away a (F)third of the stars of heaven and (G)threw them to the earth. And the (H)dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth (I)he might devour her child.
The Male Child, Christ
5 And (J)she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to [a](K)rule all the [b]nations with a rod of iron; and her child was (L)caught up to God and to His throne.

New International Version
3 Then another sign appeared in heaven:(A) an enormous red dragon(B) with seven heads(C) and ten horns(D) and seven crowns(E) on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third(F) of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.(G) The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child(H) the moment he was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”[a](I) And her child was snatched up(J) to God and to his throne.
