¹⁴ And he ^(A)deceives ^(B)those who live on the earth because of ^(C)the signs which it was given him to perform ^[a](D)in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the ^(E)wound of the sword and has come to life.

³ and he threw him into the ^(A)abyss and shut it and ^(B)sealed it over him, so that he would ^(C)not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

⁸ and will come out to ^(A)deceive the nations which are at the ^(B)four corners of the earth, ^(C)Gog and Magog, to ^(D)gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the ^(E)sand of the ^[a]seashore.

¹⁰ And ^(A)the devil who ^(B)deceived them was thrown into the ^(C)lake of fire and ^[a]brimstone, where the ^(D)beast and the ^(E)false prophet are also; and they will be ^(F)tormented day and night forever and ever.
