11 and the smoke of their torment goeth up [a]for ever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, they that [b]worship the beast and his image, and whoso receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the [c]patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die [d]in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.

11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever.(A) There will be no rest day or night(B) for those who worship the beast and its image,(C) or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”(D) 12 This calls for patient endurance(E) on the part of the people of God(F) who keep his commands(G) and remain faithful to Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord(H) from now on.”

“Yes,” says the Spirit,(I) “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
