¹⁰^(A)They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,

“Alas! Alas! ^(B)You great city,
you mighty city, Babylon!
For ^(C)in a single hour your judgment has come.”

New International Version

¹⁰Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off^(A) and cry:

“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,^(B)
you mighty city of Babylon!
In one hour^(C) your doom has come!’

¹⁷For ^(A)in a single hour all this wealth ^(B)has been laid waste.”

And ^(C)all shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off

¹⁷In one hour^(A) such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’^(B)

“Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea,^(C) will stand far off.^(D)
