10 I was carried away in the Spirit by the angel to a very high mountain. He showed me the Holy City of Jerusalem. It was coming out of heaven from God. 11 It was filled with the shining-greatness of God. It shone like a stone worth much money, like a jasper stone. It was clear like glass. 12 It had a very high wall, and there were twelve gates. Twelve angels stood by the gates. The names of the twelve family groups of the Jewish nation were written on the gates.

10 And he carried me away(A) in the Spirit(B) to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.(C) 11 It shone with the glory of God,(D) and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper,(E) clear as crystal.(F) 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates,(G) and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.(H)
