14 And the wall of the city had [a]twelve foundations, and in them the names of the Lamb’s twelve Apostles.

15 [b]And he that walked with me, had a golden reed, to measure the city withal, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

16 [c]And the city lay [d]foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth of it, and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: and the length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal.

15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod(C) of gold to measure the city, its gates(D) and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[a] in length, and as wide and high as it is long.
