[a] 5 Night shall be no more, and people will have no need for lamplight or sunlight—for Adonai Elohim will shine on them.[b] And they shall reign forever and ever!

6 He said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true! Adonai, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent His angel to show His servants what must happen soon. [c] 7 Behold, I am coming soon! How fortunate is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

5 There will be no more night.(A) They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.(B) And they will reign for ever and ever.(C)
John and the Angel
6 The angel said to me,(D) “These words are trustworthy and true.(E) The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets,(F) sent his angel(G) to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
7 “Look, I am coming soon!(H) Blessed(I) is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”(J)
