⁹ And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone ^(A)worships the beast and its image and receives ^(B)a mark on his forehead or on his hand,

¹¹ And ^(A)the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever, and ^(B)they have no rest, day or night, these ^(C)worshippers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

² So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful ^(A)sores came upon the people who bore ^(B)the mark of the beast and worshipped its image.

²⁰ And the beast was captured, and with it ^(A)the false prophet ^(B)who in its presence^[a] had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who ^(C)worshipped its image. These two were ^(D)thrown alive into the lake of ^(E)fire that burns with sulphur.

⁴ Then I saw ^(A)thrones, and ^(B)seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw ^(C)the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those ^(D)who had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. ^(E)They came to life and ^(F)reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
