¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, ^(A)that you may be tested, and for ^(B)ten days ^(C)you will have tribulation. ^(D)Be faithful ^(E)unto death, and I will give you ^(F)the crown of life.

^11 (A)I am coming soon. ^(B)Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize ^(C)your crown.

²⁵ Every ^(A)athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we ^(B)an imperishable.

⁸ Henceforth there is ^(A)laid up for me ^(B)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, ^(C)the righteous judge, will award to me on ^(D)that Day, and not only to me but also to all ^(E)who have loved his appearing.

⁴ And when ^(A)the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the ^(B)unfading ^(C)crown of glory.
