⁸ But what does it say? “^(A)The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,

¹⁷ So faith comes from ^(A)hearing, and hearing by ^(B)the word ^[a]of Christ.

^10 [a]if you ^[b]obey the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which ^(A)are written in this Book of the Law, ^[c]if you turn to the Lord your God ^(B)with all your heart and soul.

¹¹ “For this commandment which I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far away. ¹² It is not in heaven, ^[d]that you could say, ‘^(C)Who will go up to heaven for us and get it for us, and proclaim it to us, so that we may ^[e]follow it?’ ¹³ Nor is it beyond the sea, ^[f]that you could say, ‘Who will cross the sea for us and get it for us and proclaim it to us, so that we may ^[g]follow it?’ ¹⁴ On the contrary, the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may ^[h]follow it.

¹⁶ Let ^(A)the word of ^[a]Christ richly dwell within you, ^[b]with all wisdom ^(B)teaching and admonishing ^[c]one another ^(C)with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, ^(D)singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

²³ for you have been ^(A)born again ^(B)not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring ^(C)word of God.

And this is ^(B)the word which was ^[a]preached to you.

The Word Made Flesh

¹⁴ And ^(A)the Word ^(B)became flesh, and ^(C)dwelt among us; and ^(D)we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of ^(E)grace and ^(F)truth.

¹³ He is clothed with a ^(A)robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(B)The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in ^(C)fine linen, ^(D)white and clean, were following Him on white horses. ^15 (E)From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that ^(F)with it He may strike down the nations, and He will ^[a](G)rule them with a rod of iron; and ^(H)He treads the ^[b]wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ And on His robe and on His thigh He has ^(I)a name written: “^(J)KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
