¹⁷ for the kingdom of God ^(A)is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and ^(B)peace and ^(C)joy in the Holy Spirit.

²⁰ Truly, truly I say to you that ^(A)you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but ^(B)your grief will be turned into joy! ^21 (C)Whenever a woman is in labor she has ^[a]pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a ^[b]child has been born into the world.
