¹³ for ^(A)if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are ^(B)putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

^11 (A)The statement is trustworthy:

⁶ knowing this, that our ^(A)old ^[a]self was ^(B)crucified with Him, in order that our ^(C)body of sin might be ^[b]done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

²⁴ Now those who ^[a]belong to ^(A)Christ Jesus ^(B)crucified the flesh with its passions and ^(C)desires.

^5 (A)Therefore, ^[a]treat ^(B)the parts of your earthly body as dead to ^(C)sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which ^[b]amounts to idolatry.

⁸ But now you also, ^(A)rid yourselves of all of them: ^(B)anger, wrath, malice, slander, and ^(C)obscene speech from your mouth. ^9 [a](D)Do not lie to one another, since you ^(E)stripped off the old ^[b]self with its evil practices,

²² that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to ^(A)rid yourselves of the ^(B)old ^[a]self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the ^(C)lusts of deceit,
