Romans 10:17-19
American Standard Version

17 So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. 18 But I say, Did they not hear? Yea, verily,

[a]Their sound went out into all the earth,
And their words unto the ends of [b]the world.

19 But I say, Did Israel not know? First Moses saith,

[c]I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation,
With a nation void of understanding will I anger you.

New International Version

17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,(A) and the message is heard through the word about Christ.(B) 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:

“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world.”[a](C)

19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,

“I will make you envious(D) by those who are not a nation;
    I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.”[b](E)
