Romans 11:5-7
International Standard Version
5 So it is at the present time: there is a remnant, chosen by grace. 6 But if this is by grace, then it is no longer on the basis of actions. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace.
7 What, then, does this mean?[a] It means that Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking, but the selected group obtained it while the rest were hardened.
