Romans 13:6

⁶For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing.

⁶This is also why you pay taxes,^(A) for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.

⁷^(A)Pay to all what is due them: ^(B)tax to whom tax is due; ^(C)custom to whom custom; ^[a]respect to whom ^[b]respect; honor to whom honor.

⁷Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes;^(A) if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
