8 Whether we live or die, it must be for the Lord. Alive or dead, we still belong to the Lord. 9 This is because Christ died and rose to life, so that he would be the Lord of the dead and of the living. 10 (A) Why do you criticize other followers of the Lord? Why do you look down on them? The day is coming when God will judge all of us.

8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.(A) 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life(B) so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.(C)
10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt?(D) For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.(E)
