Patience and Self-Denial. Those of us who are strong must resolve to put up with the failings of the weak and not please ourselves. Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up. Even Christ never sought to please himself, but, as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you have fallen upon me.”

15 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak(A) and not to please ourselves.
