⁷ Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews^[a](A) and fellow prisoners.^(B) They are noteworthy in the eyes of the apostles,^[b] and they were also in Christ before me.

¹⁸ Those, then, who have fallen asleep in Christ^(A) have also perished.

¹⁴ Greet one another with a kiss of love.^(A) Peace^(B) to all of you who are in Christ.^[a]

¹³ Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”^(A)

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “so they will rest from their labors, since their works follow them.”

⁵ The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed.

This is the first resurrection.
