14 For (A)if those who are [a]of the Law are heirs, faith has been made empty and the promise has been abolished; 15 for (B)the Law brings about wrath, but (C)where there is no law, there also is no trespass.
16 For this reason it is [b]by faith, in order that it may be according to (D)grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to (E)all the seed, not only to [c]those who are of the Law, but also to [d](F)those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is (G)the father of us all—

14 For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless,(A) 15 because the law brings wrath.(B) And where there is no law there is no transgression.(C)
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace(D) and may be guaranteed(E) to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.(F)
