¹⁰ For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God. ¹¹ So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin^(A) and alive to God in Christ Jesus.^[a]

⁷ For none of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself.^{(A) 8} If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.^(B)

¹⁴ For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion, that one died for all,^(A) and therefore all died. ¹⁵ And he died for all^(B) so that those who live should no longer live for themselves,^(C) but for the one^(D) who died for them and was raised.

¹⁹ For through the law I died to the law,^(A) so that I might live for God.^{(B) 20} I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.^(C) The life I now live in the body,^[a] I live by faith in the Son of God,^(D) who loved^(E) me^(F) and gave himself^(G) for me.^(H)

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose^(A) again,^(B) in the same way, through Jesus,^(C) God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
