Israel’s Rejection of Christ

9 I speak the truth in Christ^(A)—I am not lying; my conscience is testifying to me with the Holy Spirit^[a]—

²³ I call on God as a witness,^(A) on my life, that it was to spare you that I did not come to Corinth.^(B)

³¹ The God and Father^(A) of the Lord Jesus, who is praised forever, knows I am not lying.

⁸ For God is my witness,^(A) how deeply I miss all of you^(B) with the affection of Christ Jesus.

⁵ For we never used flattering speech, as you know, or had greedy^(A) motives^(B)—God is our witness^(C)—

¹⁰ You are witnesses,^(A) and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously,^(B) and blamelessly^(C) we conducted ourselves with you believers.
