³ For ^(A)I could ^[a]wish that I myself were ^(B)accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen ^(C)according to the flesh,

⁶ But if we are afflicted, it is ^(A)for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer;

¹⁷ But even if I am being ^(A)poured out as a drink offering upon ^(B)the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.

^24 (A)Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh ^(B)I ^[a]do my share on behalf of ^(C)His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking ^[b]in Christ’s afflictions.

⁸ Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to ^(A)impart to you not only the ^(B)gospel of God but also our own ^[a]lives, because you had become ^[b]very dear to us.

¹⁰ For this reason ^(A)I endure all things for ^(B)the sake of those who are chosen, ^(C)so that they also may obtain the ^(D)salvation which is in ^(E)Christ Jesus and with it ^(F)eternal glory.
