¹⁰ For in light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are,^(A) yet without sin.^(B)

²⁶ For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.^(A)

²⁸ so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many,^(A) will appear a second time,^(B) not to bear sin, but^[a] to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.^(C)
