¹⁰ For in light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God. ¹¹ So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin^(A) but alive to God in Christ Jesus.^[a]

⁷ For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.^{(A) 8} If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.^(B)

¹⁴ For Christ’s love compels^[a] us, since we have reached this conclusion: If One died for all,^(A) then all died. ¹⁵ And He died for all^(B) so that those who live should no longer live for themselves,^(C) but for the One^(D) who died for them and was raised.

¹⁹ For through the law I have died to the law,^(A) so that I might live for God.^(B) I have been crucified with Christ^{[a] 20} and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.^(C) The life I now live in the body,^[b] I live by faith in the Son of God,^(D) who loved^(E) me^(F) and gave Himself^(G) for me.^(H)

¹⁴ Since we believe that Jesus died and rose^(A) again,^(B) in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through^[a] Jesus.^(C)

¹⁰ who died for us,^(A) so that whether we are awake or asleep,^(B) we will live together with Him.^(C)
