¹⁹ I am using a human analogy^[a](A) because of the weakness of your flesh.^[b] For just as you offered the parts^[c] of yourselves as slaves to moral impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification.

²² But now, since you have been liberated from sin and have become enslaved to God,^(A) you have your fruit, which results in sanctification^[a](B)—and the end is eternal life!^(C)

³⁰ But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us—our righteousness,^(A) sanctification,^(B) and redemption,^(C)

Stand Firm

¹³ But we must always thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning^[a] God has chosen^(A) you for salvation through sanctification^(B) by the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

¹⁵ But she will be saved through childbearing, if she continues^[a] in faith, love, and holiness,^(A) with good judgment.

Warning against Rejecting God’s Grace

¹⁴ Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness^(A)—without it no one will see the Lord.^(B)

² according to the foreknowledge^(A) of God the Father and set apart by the Spirit^(B) for obedience^(C) and for sprinkling with the blood^(D) of Jesus Christ.
