⁸ Now if we died with Christ,^(A) we believe that we will also live with Him,

¹⁴ We know that the One who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus^(A) and present us with you.

⁴ In fact, He was crucified^(A) in weakness, but He lives^(B) by God’s power. For we also are weak in Him,^(C) yet toward you we will live^(D) with Him by God’s power.

⁵ Test^(E) yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.^[a]

¹⁴ Since we believe that Jesus died and rose^(A) again,^(B) in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through^[a] Jesus.^(C)

⁹ For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord^(A) Jesus Christ,^{(B) 10} who died for us,^(C) so that whether we are awake or asleep,^(D) we will live together with Him.^(E)
