Ruth 2:15-17
Revised Standard Version
15 When she rose to glean, Bo′az instructed his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. 16 And also pull out some from the bundles for her, and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her.”
17 So she gleaned in the field until evening; then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.

15 As she got up to glean, Boaz gave orders to his men, “Let her gather among the sheaves(A) and don’t reprimand her. 16 Even pull out some stalks for her from the bundles and leave them for her to pick up, and don’t rebuke(B) her.”
17 So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed(C) the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah.[a](D)
