And Boaz said to his servant in charge of the reapers,[a] “To whom does this young woman belong?” And the servant in charge of the reapers[b] said, “She is a Moabite girl returning with Naomi from the countryside of Moab. And she said, ‘Please let me glean and let me gather among the sheaves behind the reapers.’ So she came and remained from the morning up to now. She is sitting for a little while in the house.”[c]

Boaz asked the overseer of his harvesters, “Who does that young woman belong to?”

The overseer replied, “She is the Moabite(A) who came back from Moab with Naomi. She said, ‘Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves(B) behind the harvesters.’ She came into the field and has remained here from morning till now, except for a short rest(C) in the shelter.”
