14 (8:10) And they gathered them together upon heaps; and the land stank.
15 (8:11) But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his lev, and paid heed not unto them; as Hashem had said.
16 (8:12) And Hashem said unto Moshe, Say unto Aharon, Stretch out thy matteh, and smite the aphar ha’aretz, that it may become kinim throughout kol Eretz Mitzrayim.

14 They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief,(A) he hardened his heart(B) and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.

16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff(C) and strike the dust of the ground,’ and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats.”
