¹³Then they hurried, they forgot His ma’asim; they waited not for His etzah (counsel, advice, wisdom);

¹⁴But lusted exceedingly in the midbar, and tempted G-d in the desert.

¹⁵And He gave them their she’elah (request); but sent leanness into their nefesh.

Psalm 106:13-15

New International Version

¹³But they soon forgot^(A) what he had done
    and did not wait for his plan to unfold.^(B)
¹⁴In the desert^(C) they gave in to their craving;
    in the wilderness^(D) they put God to the test.^(E)
¹⁵So he gave them^(F) what they asked for,
    but sent a wasting disease^(G) among them.
