Titus 1:14-16
Good News Translation
14 and no longer hold on to Jewish legends and to human commandments which come from people who have rejected the truth. 15 Everything is pure to those who are themselves pure; but nothing is pure to those who are defiled and unbelieving, for their minds and consciences have been defiled. 16 They claim that they know God, but their actions deny it. They are hateful and disobedient, not fit to do anything good.

New International Version
14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths(A) or to the merely human commands(B) of those who reject the truth.(C) 15 To the pure, all things are pure,(D) but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure.(E) In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.(F) 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him.(G) They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.(H)
