15 Now when he [the angelic being] had made an end of measuring the Beis HaPenimi, he brought me forth toward the sha’ar whose view is toward the east, and measured it all around.
16 He measured the eastern side with the measuring rod, five hundred rods, with the keneh hamiddah (measuring rod) all around.
17 He measured the northern side, five hundred rods, with the keneh hamiddah all around.

15 When he had finished measuring what was inside the temple area, he led me out by the east gate(A) and measured the area all around: 16 He measured the east side with the measuring rod; it was five hundred cubits.[a][b] 17 He measured the north side; it was five hundred cubits[c] by the measuring rod.
