13 The Lord answered the (A)angel who was speaking with me with [a]gracious words, (B)comforting words. 14 So the angel who was speaking with me said to me, “(C)Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “I am (D)exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and Zion. 15 But I am very (E)angry with the nations who are (F)at ease; for while I was only a little angry, they [b](G)furthered the disaster.”

New International Version
13 So the Lord spoke(A) kind and comforting words(B) to the angel who talked with me.(C)
14 Then the angel who was speaking to me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous(D) for Jerusalem and Zion, 15 and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure.(E) I was only a little angry,(F) but they went too far with the punishment.’(G)
