6 “I will (A)strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will (B)save the house of Joseph,
And I will [a](C)bring them back,
Because I have had (D)compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had (E)not rejected them,
For I am the Lord their God and I will (F)answer them.
7 “Ephraim will be like a mighty man,
And their heart will be glad as if from wine;
Indeed, their (G)children will see it and be glad,
[b]Their heart will rejoice in the Lord.
8 “I will (H)whistle for them to gather them together,
For I have redeemed them;
And they will be as (I)numerous as they [c](J)were before.

and save the tribes of Joseph.
I will restore them
because I have compassion(B) on them.(C)
They will be as though
I had not rejected them,
for I am the Lord their God
and I will answer(D) them.
7 The Ephraimites will become like warriors,
and their hearts will be glad as with wine.(E)
Their children will see it and be joyful;
their hearts will rejoice(F) in the Lord.
8 I will signal(G) for them
and gather them in.
Surely I will redeem them;
they will be as numerous(H) as before.
