³ And if anyone again prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him, ^(A)‘You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of the Lord.’ And his father and mother who bore him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.

^37 (A)Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

^26 (A)“If anyone comes to me and ^(B)does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, ^(C)yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

¹¹ “Phinehas the son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, has turned back my wrath from the people of Israel, in that he ^(A)was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I did not consume the people of Israel in ^(B)my jealousy. ¹² Therefore say, ^(C)‘Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace, ¹³ and it shall be to him and to ^(D)his descendants after him the covenant of ^(E)a perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and made atonement for the people of Israel.’”

^6 (A)“If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or ^(B)the wife you embrace^[a] or your friend ^(C)who is as your own soul entices you secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods’, ^(D)which neither you nor your fathers have known, ⁷ some ^(E)of the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other, ⁸ you shall ^(F)not yield to him or listen to him, nor ^(G)shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. ⁹ But you shall kill him. ^(H)Your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. ^10 (I)You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
