And Joshua was clothed in filthy garments and was standing before[a] the angel. And he answered and said to the ones standing before[b] him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And he said to him, “See, I have taken away your guilt[c] from you, and will clothe you with rich garments.” And I said, “Let them put a clean headband[d] on his head.” And they put a clean headband on his head, and they clothed him with garments. And the angel of Yahweh was standing by.

Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”

Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin,(A) and I will put fine garments(B) on you.”

Then I said, “Put a clean turban(C) on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by.
