8 Then the word of the Lord came to me:(A) 9 “Zerubbabel’s hands have laid the foundation of this house,(B) and his hands will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Hosts has sent me to you. 10 For who scorns the day of small things?(C) These seven eyes of the Lord, which scan throughout the whole earth, will rejoice when they see the plumb line[a] in Zerubbabel’s hand.”(D)

10 “Who dares despise the day(D) of small things,(E) since the seven eyes(F) of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone[a] in the hand of Zerubbabel?”(G)
