¹¹ Take the silver and gold and make a crown,^(A) and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua^(B) son of Jozadak.^{[a](C) 12} Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch,^(D) and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord.^{(E) 13} It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he^[b] will be a priest^(F) on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’

Jesus the Great High Priest

¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great high priest^(A) who has ascended into heaven,^[a](B) Jesus the Son of God,^(C) let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.^(D)

¹⁷ For this reason he had to be made like them,^[a](A) fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful^(B) and faithful high priest^(C) in service to God,^(D) and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.^(E)
