15 The Lord of Hosts will defend them.
They will consume and conquer with slingstones;
they will drink and be rowdy as if with wine.(A)
They will be as full as the sprinkling basin,(B)
like those at the corners of the altar.(C)
16 The Lord their God will save them on that day
as the flock of His people;(D)
for they are like jewels in a crown,(E)
sparkling over His land.
17 How lovely and beautiful they will be!
Grain will make the young men flourish,
and new wine, the young women.

15 and the Lord Almighty will shield(A) them.
They will destroy
and overcome with slingstones.(B)
They will drink and roar as with wine;(C)
they will be full like a bowl(D)
used for sprinkling[a] the corners(E) of the altar.
16 The Lord their God will save his people on that day(F)
as a shepherd saves his flock.
They will sparkle in his land
like jewels in a crown.(G)
17 How attractive and beautiful they will be!
Grain will make the young men thrive,
and new wine the young women.
