Paul Defends His Ministry

10 ^(A)I, Paul, myself entreat you, by the ^(B)meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold towards you when I am away!—

⁷ but ^(A)made himself nothing, taking the form of a ^(B)servant,^{[a] (C)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(D)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(E)even death on a cross.
