2 She has not obeyed;(A)
she has not accepted discipline.(B)
She has not trusted(C) in the Lord;
she has not drawn near to her God.
3 The[a] princes within her are roaring lions;(D)
her judges are wolves of the night,(E)
which leave nothing for[b] the morning.
4 Her prophets are reckless(F)—
treacherous men.
Her priests profane the sanctuary;
they do violence to instruction.(G)

are roaring lions;(E)
her rulers are evening wolves,(F)
who leave nothing for the morning.(G)
4 Her prophets are unprincipled;
they are treacherous people.(H)
Her priests profane the sanctuary
and do violence to the law.(I)

3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
