23 (A)From this man’s seed, according (B)to the promise, God raised up for Israel (C)a[a] Savior—Jesus— 24 (D)after John had first preached, before His coming, the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25 And as John was finishing his course, he said, (E)‘Who do you think I am? I am not He. But behold, (F)there comes One after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to loose.’

26 “Men and brethren, sons of the [b]family of Abraham, and (G)those among you who fear God, (H)to you the [c]word of this salvation has been sent. 27 For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, (I)because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him. 28 (J)And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death. 29 (K)Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, (L)they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. 30 (M)But God raised Him from the dead. 31 (N)He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.

23 (A)From the descendants of this man, (B)according to promise, God has brought to Israel (C)a Savior, Jesus, 24 after (D)John had proclaimed, before [a]His coming, a (E)baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25 And while John (F)was completing his course, (G)he kept saying, ‘What do you suppose that I am? 23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

30 But God raised him from the dead:

31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
